Apply to Volunteer with DCAF's New Firewall Team
The DC Abortion Fund (DCAF) is seeking dedicated volunteers to join our Firewall Volunteer Team aimed at keeping our movement and our staff safe. As part of this team, you will play a vital role in monitoring for political violence and harassment targeting our work — not just from anti-abortion extremism but also from harassment, coercion, and threats we’ve been receiving based on our call for a ceasefire in Gaza.
You’ll spend one hour a week monitoring online spaces and one hour a month strategizing around related strong operational, development, and communications practices.
This is an incredible opportunity to be a part of something meaningful while contributing to abortion access and reproductive justice. The cohort will kick off with a training session at the end of September and wrap up with a celebratory debrief in mid-December to recognize your contributions.
