We took it to the Max—let’s keep it going!
We won’t hold off on the good news: this year’s Taking it to the Max event raised over $17,000 for abortion access. That’s a HUGE deal and moved the needle in a big way for our 2025 Fund-a-thon goal of 50K through May.
For the last three years, friends and family of Max Kamin-Cross teamed up with DCAF for a day of music, speakers, silent auction, and afterparty as a loving tribute to Max who was a force in the DC community and a major advocate throughout his life for progressive causes, including abortion access.
This year’s event, held on April 5th at Songbyrd DC with an afterparty at La Jambe wine bar, came at a time when all of us in DC really needed community, joy, hope and something to hold onto. Abortion seekers come to us no matter what is going on in our country or in our city, and it is through the support of our members who show up in love & rage for DCAF that we can continue to provide this essential service.
Thank yous & HUGE shout outs:
